Figuring it Out for the Child
When the children’s fathers and mothers prepare for their new role as parents during the pregnancy, their babies develop better. The “Figuring It Out for the Child” Program provides unmarried African-American moms and dads expecting their first child together with help connecting to the supports and services our community has to offer, while taking part in a new research project for which parents will also be paid.
Parents who enroll in the project will receive the services of a Resource and Referral Navigator available to assist them through their child’s first birthday by connecting them to community-based resources such as
- Parenting Supports
- Employment Assistance
- Baby Item Referrals
- Financial Planning
- Quality Childcare
- Anger Management
Up to $300 in gift cards for program participation. Research sessions scheduled at your convenience.
